I

came across this really clever, custom made Table & Tennis concept over the weekend. Produced by Hong Kong Procurements, this table has two functions.

  1. Your run of the mill office table for meetings, etc…
  2. A hearty game of table tennis.

I certainly wouldn’t mind having one of these for our office. I think it would make for great client meetings, as well as the complete humiliation of me versus Christy, as Christy rules Table Tennis healthy competition between me and Christy. I especially love the hideaway drawer in the side of the table to hold the rackets and balls. Very covert.

The philosophy behind the vision of this table is definitely interesting as well. Definitely worth looking into over at Table&Tennis. Also, it looks like the table was hosted in the office of James Cooper from Saatchi & Saatchi, who just so happens to also run the free magazine, Celebrity Ping Pong. Coincidence? nah.

Yeah, it’s pretty brilliant. Although, instead of the glossy chrome, I’d have to go with brushed aluminum for my finish. I think I’d also have to go with a darker wood / wood laminate top. The concept overall is perfect for an office.

I’m in love. Ping pong or work. Or both! I really like the wood idea which turned out quite classy but yeah, brushed aluminum would be nice. The drawer is tight and really puts the cherry on top.
