olo is a brand new project management tool that’s made for and designed by creatives. Having used both Basecamp and ActiveCollab extensively, I’m pretty excited about giving Solo and its gorgeous grid-based interface a spin. The feature set looks pretty impressive, too. I recently spoke with Solo’s designer and developer Jerome Iveson, and he hinted of some grand plans even beyond Solo. They will be launching in the coming weeks, and in the meantime, take a look at some of the screenshots below or stay connected via ThriveSolo.com. Once launched, we’ll be talking with Jerome some more about his design philosophy and what’s ahead for his company, Thrive Software.

Dashboard: Instant access to deadlines, overdue invoices, projects to invoice, average hourly rate and all of your core project data.

Projects: Graphs show a visual project breakdown. Quickly see your quote, time to deadline, project progress and project contacts.

Invoicing: Electronically send branded invoices to your clients, Solo lets you know when they’re due to be paid, are overdue or need to be sent.

Timesheets: As long as you use our built in timer Solo automatically creates weekly timesheets for you.

Contacts: Keep all of your contact details in one place. Manage your clients, subcontractors and prospects.

Blog Feeds: The latest articles and work examples from the worlds leading design blogs. Have a quick peek inbetween projects.

Nice! I love that clean hierarchy and the sharp serif / sans, one-two punch!

You guys always bring me the very best pseudo-retro design stuff. I really appreciate it.

I am looking for project management software that is elegant, minimal and beautiful… much like Solo thrive! However, I am not a designer, and do not need to track hours/payment etc. Do you know of any applications that have the beauty of Solo Thrive, but without an emphasis on billing hours? Thank you!
