2009: Our Time to Shine

2009 11 X 17 print

I apologize in advance if the title of this post comes off sounding arrogant in anyway. On the contrary, we’re just really excited about the coming of the new year. Although we’re a bit early, we’re always thinking about how we can improve Colorcubic. We’ve really been on each others cases about nailing down our design and development skills, and never getting comfortable with where we are as far as design goes in general. I guess what I’m trying to say is that we’re never really satisfied with the work we produce. Instead, we’re always trying to raise the bar in some way or another. Anyway, this “2009″ print is our final submission to the Communication Arts competition. We’re keeping our fingers crossed in hopes that they’ll choose some of our work. Whatever the case, all of it was fun to work on, and if we don’t wind up in this publication, then we’ll shoot for something else.

Enjoy ;)

I like it. It’s as retro as it is futuristic. It’s retristic.

It looks amazing. I l-o-v the shapes and the lean, 80’s addidas feel it gives me. Like looking at a pair of hi-tops before they were hip and saying “sweet jesus” to yourself.

your stuff is really really good. admiration all over the shop here, cause i don’t have much a of a clue how to do what you have here tbh. great to hear a studio with a bit of honesty for once too. i’m consistently unhappy with my consistency. we’ll get there in the end, perhaps 2009 ey.

    Hello Lewis,

thank you so much for all the kind words. We checked your site / blog; great attention to detail, and nice colors as well. Just to give you a heads up, we’ll be launching our store shortly, (hopefully no later than next week). As soon as it’s up, we’ll be selling our prints, along with some tees, and mp3 digital downloads.

Anyway, thanks again for all the kind words.

    Peace,
