There have been many things we've been meaning to do since our re-launch. Here's a quick look at what's up ahead for Colorcubic.

T

here have been many things we’ve been meaning to do since our re-launch. For one, we’re working to get our custom shop off the ground in the coming months, but before that officially happens, we’ll be launching a temporary (online pop-up, if you will) shop on Big Cartel to sell some prints and custom notebooks. To be notified of such happenings, follow us on Twitter or sign up for our mailing list in the footer. Secondly, we’ll be slowly but surely rolling out the list of upgrades & additions below:

Portfolio section with category filters

Post display filter (to switch between the current post view, and an image-only grid view)

Community links (for anyone to submit design-related news)

A visual archive

Graphical related posts

An Off the colorShelf page (highlighting books, magazines and albums that we enjoy)

More series-related posts

A monthly (maybe bi-monthly) email newsletter with news & special offers

We’ll also be welcoming the addition of new writers to contribute more interesting content to the blog. We’re pretty excited for a film series curated by the human encyclopedia otherwise known as Drew Wiltsey. Also, be sure to use the ‘like’ button on our posts. We know it’s a bit obscure and small, but it’s the little heart located at the bottom of each post (specifically in the marginalia column). This is one of a few ways that we are able to discover which posts our readers enjoy most. Lastly, we’d love to hear from you about what you’d like to see on the blog, whether it’s content related, feature requests, or even bug fixes we might not be aware of (egad!). Send us an email, or sound off in the comments. Thanks for reading.

ith a new site comes a new approach to our work, our writing, and how we visually communicate to our audience. With this in mind, we’ve decided to start fresh with our posts, featuring only our best work and the inspirational works from our counterparts and colleagues.

To celebrate the launch of our new site, we’ve created this promotional print encompassing our adopted philosophy of Bauhaus, minimalism, and our attention to detail as a brand. We’ll be rolling out several phases of updates in the following weeks that extend the functionality of the site, as well as finalizing some sections that are still taking shape. Please bear with us as we iron out any bugs along the way while we’re still in beta.

Along with client work and being our own worst critics, version 2.0 has certainly taken its sweet time to become what it is now, but five concepts later that played like a never-ending match of interoffice layer tennis, we’re pretty happy with the results. We hope you appreciate our continual efforts in building a strong foundation as a good resource for articles and visual stimuli.
